Veltrix Systems Inc. ("we", "us", "our") operates Buildr. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. We take your privacy seriously.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the service:

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate Buildr:

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and security practices. We only share what is necessary to provide the service.

4. AI Data Processing

Buildr uses Anthropic's Claude AI to power features including AI estimates, AI client replies, and receipt scanning. When you use these features:

• What is sent: Job descriptions, receipt text, client inquiry text, and estimate details you provide
• What is NOT sent: Your full client database, financial totals, passwords, or payment information
• Storage: Anthropic does not store your data for model training. Inputs are processed and discarded per their privacy policy
• Purpose: Solely to generate the requested AI output (estimate, reply, or data extraction)
• Provider: Anthropic, PBC — anthropic.com/privacy

AI-generated content is provided as a suggestion only. Always review before sending to clients.

5. Your Business Data

Your clients' information, estimates, invoices, and business records are your data. We:

• Do not access your business data except to provide the service or resolve support issues (with your permission)
• Do not use your business data to train AI models
• Do not sell or share your business data with third parties for marketing
• Store your data on Supabase servers (United States). As a Canadian user, your data may be processed and stored outside Canada. By using Buildr, you consent to this transfer.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel:

• Your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period
• After account closure, data is deleted within 30 days
• Some data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g. billing records)

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
• Hashed passwords — we never store plain-text passwords
• Row-level security — users can only access their own data
• Security provided through Supabase infrastructure including row-level security and encrypted storage

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to hello@veltrix.systems.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

Buildr uses browser local storage (not tracking cookies) to save your preferences such as language, tax settings, and plan state. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — update inaccurate information (directly in the app)
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
• Export — export your data using built-in CSV export features
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

10. Children's Privacy

Buildr is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
